Hunger Clean-up Beyond Milwaukee!
San Jose Area
Saturday, April 21
9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
In the spirit of Hunger Clean-up around the Marquette campus, alumni are encouraged to make an impact in their hometown! Join the Marquette Club of Northern California for a special service project with GRID Alternatives. GRID Alternatives is a non-profit solar installer that exclusively serves low-income families. GRID uses a volunteer-based solar installation model that gives community members an opportunity to learn about solar energy while helping a low-income family get crucial energy savings that solar provides. Volunteers will help install solar power onto a single-family home in the San Jose area. Lunch will be provided.
Space for this opportunity is very limited, so please be sure to register. Participation will be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. GRID Alternatives requires volunteers to attend a volunteer orientation webinar prior to the event which will be held on April 17th from noon - 1 p.m. If you are unable to attend, accommodations can be made.
