Praying from the Cave: Transformation in the Ignatian TraditionTHURSDAY, JULY 30 | 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. CTPresented by Dr. Kathy Coffey-Guenther, Arts '85, Grad '88, '98, Senior Mission & Ignatian Leadership Specialist, University AdvancementTimes of such chaos and vulnerability in our lives can often include an invitation to spiritual and psychological transformation. St. Ignatius spent much time in both literal and spiritual caves during his conversion journey, and found that time to be profound in his spiritual transformation. In fact, time in the “cave,” in which we are invited to come to deeply know and understand ourselves, is essential to discerning and receiving the freedom and transformation offered in the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius. Join us for this conversation to see what these moments in your cave, forced by this time of sheltering at home, may bring to your deeper understanding of yourself, of God’s grace, and of God’s longing for you to be free in God’s love.
