Counselor Education and Counseling Psychology 22nd Annual Diversity Gala

The students of the Department of Counselor Education and Counseling Psychology (CECP) at Marquette University cordially invite you to the 22nd Annual Diversity Gala to help support the CECP Graduate Student Organization's (GSO) Diversity Scholarship. The student-initiated scholarship encourages an academic, professional, and social environment that embraces diversity and encourages enrollment of persons with diverse backgrounds. It also promotes leadership among persons in the fields of counseling and counseling psychology.

KEYNOTE SPEAKER

Ms. Cheryl Schiltz is involved in neuroplasticity substitution research after suffering a brain aneurysm and seizures. At the University of Wisconsin-Madison, she was not only "Subject Zero", but also the co-investigator of the research. Ms. Cheryl Schiltz has shown tremendous perseverance despite the challenges that are attributed to her disability.  She served as the board of director for Access to Independence, an Independent Living Center and for Movin’ Out and currently the board of director for The Employability Project where she helps those with autism, among other disabilities/barriers, successfully transition into employment through the development of the Student Transition to Employment Program (STEP).

The event will also include diversity scholarship presentation.

Registration includes hors d'oeuvres, a cash bar (one drink ticket included), silent auction and raffle.

Prices will increase by $5 after April 1 for each in-person registration option, and an additional $5 per person at the door on the day of the event.
