Coach Shaka Smart

A Conversation with Coach Shaka Smart: Relationships. Growth. Victory.
Saturday, May 31
12 – 12:45 p.m.
AMU, Monaghan Ballroom
Marquette University campus
What does it take to build a championship culture—not just on the court, but in life? Join Marquette University Vice President and Director of Athletics Mike Broeker as he sits down with Head Men’s Basketball Coach Shaka Smart for an authentic and energizing conversation about leadership, relationships, and the mindset behind lasting success. Coach Smart will share his powerful philosophy on how connection, trust, and purpose shape the lives of student-athletes—and how those same values translate into victories far beyond the final buzzer.

Skip the line and REGISTER ONLINE. You can also register onsite at the event.

Can I still register for events?

If you'd like to register for additional events, we encourage you to skip the lines during the weekend and REGISTER ONLINE.

We can also help you register at Alumni Reunion Weekend Headquarters. Walk-in registrations are welcome at individual reunion events, provided they are not sold out.

What should I wear?

Wear what is comfortable, and remember, you can’t go wrong with blue and gold! Some events will be held outdoors, rain or shine, so consider packing rain gear as a precaution.

Attire tends to be dressy casual for evening events like Marquee Night, while attire for daytime events like the Block Party are more casual and often includes Marquette spirit wear. The dress code for events being held at the Wisconsin Club is business casual.
