Finding Communion in Quarantine: Encountering God through the Examen
RECORDED ON TUESDAY, APRIL 21, 2020
Presented by Rev. Ryan Duns, S.J., Assistant Professor and Assistant Chair of Theology in the Marquette University Klingler College of Arts and Sciences
Throughout the world, the COVID-19 virus has interrupted business as usual. Our professional, social, and spiritual lives have all been disrupted. Amidst the chaos, it can be hard to seek, let alone find, God in all things. In this session, we will review the Ignatian examen and suggest how it offers us a shared spiritual practice that can bring about communion with God and others.
Rev. Ryan Duns, S.J,. is a Jesuit and assistant professor of theology at Marquette University. In addition to his research interests in philosophical and systematic theology, Ryan is a professional Irish musician and plays the tin whistle and accordion throughout the world.
