Latrice Harris-Collins, Amanda Markwardt join Urban Scholars leadership

Latrice Harris-Collins has been named acting director for Black student initiatives and will oversee the university’s Urban Scholars program. Amanda Markwardt joined Marquette as the Urban Scholars coordinator on Monday, Sept. 11. Read more.

Admissions

Navigating the Admissions Process

In August, Sharon and Chris, Arts ’87, Grad ’89, Murphy generously hosted prospective students, parents and families in Wilmette, Ill., where the Marquette University Office of Undergraduate Admissions and the Marquette Alumni Association provided an inside look at Navigating the Admission Process.

The Early Action deadline is November 15, and students who complete the Early Action application process will receive a decision by December 15. The full timeline and details are available on the Admissions website.

Marquette's holistic admission review considers academic achievement in conjunction with a student's unique talents, leadership and service activities, application essay, school profile, letters of recommendation and any other information a student wishes to submit. Rev. John Thiede, S.J., acting vice president for mission and ministry, introduces this year’s theme, which translates to “To Love and Serve in Everything.” Read more.

On October 14 at 5 p.m., enjoy an outdoor Mass at the St. Joan of Arc Chapel, with the backdrop of a beautiful fall sunset. Rev. John Thiede, S.J., acting vice president of Mission and Ministry, will preside over the Mass. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs and dress warmly.
