Wesley Matthews is in his fourteenth season in the National Basketball Association and is currently a member of the Milwaukee Bucks. He has played in nearly 1,000 career games for six teams and scored over 11,000 points, the fourth-most by any Marquette player in NBA history.
The Madison, Wisconsin, native has helped organizations to eight playoff appearances, playing during the course of his career with Utah, Portland, Dallas, Indiana, Milwaukee and Los Angeles.
Matthews’ basketball career at Marquette was highlighted by four NCAA tournament appearances and 94 victories. He became the 22nd player in school history to score 1,000 career points, and his 1,673 points ranks 10th all-time. An All-BIG EAST Second Team selection in 2008-09, he also ranks among the career leaders in free throws made (2nd) and attempted (2nd), sixth in games played, and 22nd in rebounding (628).
Matthews earned a degree in Advertising from Marquette’s Diederich College of Communication in 2009.
