Be The Difference. Daniel Infusino takes Marquette’s tagline to another level. As vice president for corporate finance and strategy at Abbott, Daniel has quite literally made a difference in people’s lives by helping his company navigate the impact from the COVID-19 pandemic, which included the development and scaling of new rapid diagnostic tests and the management of innovation portfolios across multiple business segments.

Daniel’s favorite part of his job is supporting Abbott’s products in the global markets, knowing that every product the company develops and manufactures is helping people around the world live their lives to the fullest. He plans to continue to develop the talent within the company to ensure Abbott has a leadership role in improving health care around the world.

Daniel gives back to his community by coaching a youth mountain bike team. Daniel is proud to be a leader in an inclusive organization that supports kids of all backgrounds, skills and ability levels, where all can participate and compete if they choose.

He also prioritizes giving back to current Marquette students. He is past president of the College of Health Sciences Alumni Association Board, holds discussions with students to prepare them for work in a health care-related industry, mentors students and provides guidance for students looking to intern at Abbott.

Daniel says, “I continuously try to live the Marquette mission by making sure I give 100 percent to everything that I do, being a servant-leader in every aspect of my life (family, personal, professional), trying to make the right decision at every crossroad that I face, regardless of the difficulties and challenges that path may create, and leading personally and professionally by being a good example.”

Fun Facts:

Name a Marquette faculty or staff member who had an impact on you, and how.
Dr. William Cullinan was my gross anatomy professor and helped me recognize that I was a hands-on-learner. He indirectly inspired me to work in different roles at Aurora Sinai Hospital to supplement my education. Working in related roles (i.e., physical therapy aide, advanced practice nursing assistant, pharmacy tech) allowed me the opportunity to put my learning from the classroom into practice immediately.

What is one of your favorite Marquette memories?
Completing Organic Chemistry II. This was one of the most challenging classes I had during both my undergraduate and graduate (master’s in business administration) programs. I had a huge sense of accomplishment after that class, and I felt like I could take on the next challenge life threw at me, whatever it was.

Leave a congratulatory message for Daniel!
