The Marquette University’s Black Alumni Association actively contributes to excellence at Marquette and supports the university’s quest to be among the most innovative and accomplished Catholic and Jesuit universities in the world. Black alumni bring a vital perspective to the table and are key participants in Marquette’s drive to achieve its strategic goals.
BLACK ALUMNI ASSOCIATION PURPOSE
- To offer a meaningful network for Marquette’s Black alumni to connect with each other and the university.
- Fundraise for scholarships that support Black students at Marquette, particularly the Ralph H. Metcalfe Sr. Scholarship. Learn more about the scholarship.
- Participate in mentoring, recruiting initiatives and other activities to regularly engage with current and prospective Black students.
- Seek out and encourage alliances with Marquette alumni across the country.
- Promote the association as a supportive resource for Marquette’s Black students.

The annual application process for the Black Alumni Association Ralph H. Metcalfe, Sr., Scholarship is announced to students in January and winners are announced in late April. Learn more and apply.
