Spiritual Reflection for the New Year: Following the Star - The Case for Hope

RECORDED ON TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 1, 2022

Presenter: Kathy Coffey-Guenther, Arts '85, Grad '88, Grad '98, Senior Mission and Ignatian Leadership Specialist, University Advancement, Marquette University

Happy New Year! We invite you to join us and explore the ongoing invitations for Christmas this season as Dr. Kathy Coffey Guenther discusses the stories, teachings, and learnings of Saints, friends and teachers from Scripture and the Nativity story and how they relate. You will have the opportunity to reflect on the Star you may be called to follow and the possibilities that Jesus’ birth invite you to live in this new year. There are many things to be concerned with these days, but have we truly allowed ourselves to contemplate the invitations and gifts of the birth of this human and divine Jesus in our midst? Join us for this seasonal contemplation of the call to each of us these days. We will consider the power of belief, how we engage “the real” in our lives, and how God may invite us to go “beyond the real.” Lastly, we will reflect on how we continue putting one foot in front of the other, or in other words, how we may follow the “Little Way” via the Spiritual Exercises.
