Please join us for an inspiring Lenten conversation with Amy Lovell as she discusses her faith journey, her relationship with prayer in Christ, and her deep rootedness in the lived anticipation of promised new life in Easter amidst the joys and challenges of our loves and lives.
   
Faith Sharing is a virtual event series hosted by Dr. Kathy Coffey-Guenther, Arts '85, Grad '88, '98, senior advancement officer for alumni spirituality at Marquette University. Each program will feature a Marquette leader or alumnus, who reflects on their faith as we explore holy invitations in their lives and the influence a growing faith can have on them over a lifetime.
   

More about this session

Amy Lovell is the founder of Resilience through Education for a new generation (REDgen), a nonprofit organization committed to promoting resilience in youth and families. Together with Marquette President Michael Lovell, she formed Scaling Wellness in Milwaukee (SWIM) to support community-based organizations addressing generational trauma in Milwaukee. Amy’s mission-driven service to Marquette extends from fundraising to consulting and community service. With her pharmacy degree from the University of Pittsburgh, Amy has worked as a licensed pharmacist in New York, Kentucky, and Pennsylvania.

Kathy Coffey-Guenther has a doctorate in counseling psychology from Marquette and a graduate certificate in spiritual direction from the Aquinas Institute for Theology with a specialty in Ignatian Spirituality. In addition to working for years in clinical practice, Kathy has served Marquette in a number or roles including as the associate director of the Faber Center for Ignatian Spirituality, the director of Ignatian Programs in the Office of Mission and Ministry, and as the associate vice president of the Office of Mission and Ministry at Marquette. Additionally, Kathy serves as a spiritual director for the National Magis Retreat team for the AJCU and is a consultant to the Archdiocese of Milwaukee and several religious orders and congregations in the Midwest.
