Led by Career Services Center Director Courtney Hanson, Arts ’98, H Sci ’00, Grad ’06, this informative webinar will highlight many of the services available to Marquette alumni, including:

  • Job search strategies
  • Maximizing Handshake, the university’s online platform to seek job postings and post jobs from entry to senior level available within your own organization
  • Scheduling an appointment with a career counselor or advisor
  • Resume and cover letter writing
  • Graduate and professional school decisions and applications
  • Utilizing career center reciprocity at the nearly 30 Jesuit colleges and universities nationwide

Courtney Hanson, Arts ’98, Health ’00, Grad ’06, has served in various career services roles at Marquette University since 2005. Appointed director of the Career Services Center in July 2019, she leads campus strategy development and implementation to achieve aligned, collaborative campus career services and ensure a consistent experience for all Marquette students. In her role, she engages with academic and student affairs departments, the Office of Economic Engagement, and employer partners to maximize student access to meaningful career opportunities.

As a three-time graduate of Marquette, she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, a Master of Physical Therapy degree, and a Master of Education degree. She also completed advanced training to become a Certified Strengths Coach, Global Career Development Facilitator and Myers-Briggs Type Indicator Master Practitioner. She has presented at national, regional, and state conferences and regularly facilitates individual and team development sessions.
