Patrick Hurley is a 5-time head of Marketing for early-stage companies across a range of categories, including: healthcare technology, big data analytics, digital media, group collaboration software, and winemaking. He has also worked for, and on behalf of, global brands including: Harley-Davidson, Motorola, Sprint, Citrix, and Honeywell. Patrick lives with his family in Oakland, and is a proud graduate of Marquette’s College of Communications.

Carol J. Tillis joined Personalis in November 2011 with over 20 years of experience in senior financial management, much of it related to DNA sequencing. From 2004 to 2010, she was Vice President of Finance at Pacific Biosciences, Inc. Carol started at Pacific Biosciences as its first full-time finance person during the company’s early development stages, and helped transition the company into a commercial entity. From 2002 to 2004, Carol was a Financial Consultant for several early stage start-up companies. From 1999 to 2001, she was Director of Finance of Entigen Corporation, a life-science software company. From 1991-1999, she held various positions at Molecular Dynamics (Amersham Corporation) most recently as the Finance Manager – Sales Marketing and Services where she helped start the international finance operations. From 1985-1991, she worked at several banks as a Corporate Loan Officer. Carol received a B.S. from Marquette University in 1985.

Marc Viale is the Vice President of Marketing for the leading luxury consignment company The RealReal. In his role, Marc leads all customer acquisition and retention marketing efforts and has been an instrumental part of the company’s rapid growth and success. Since inception in 2011, The RealReal has attracted 9 million members and sold through 8 million items. Marc is a dotcom veteran and has been a key player in several high growth startups. In 1999, he implemented ofoto.com's customer acquisition & retention programs which lead to acquisition by Kodak in 2001. In 2005, Marc led direct marketing and loyalty efforts for bebe stores. More recently, from 2009-2012, Marc directed marketing efforts for Linden Lab, the makers of Second Life.
