As the CEO of SPS Commerce, a global technology business, Archie Black faced new challenges while navigating his company and retail customers through the global pandemic. His leadership focused on finding new growth opportunities and initiating meaningful changes to his community. Archie’s actions resulted in the company’s continued success and embodied the four pillars of Marquette’s mission: excellence, faith, leadership, and service.

Perry J. Vieth, Bus Ad ’79
Hingham, Mass.

You could say Perry Vieth’s entrepreneurial success is “rooted” in agriculture and Jesuit principles. From revolutionizing fully automated greenhouses to building agricultural equity fund Ceres Partners from scratch, Perry’s creativity and vision for innovative agricultural ventures remains paired with his strong business values. He is invigorated by the challenge of identifying macro trends and exploring investment opportunities related to those trends.

Deborah Rubbelke O’Halloran, Bus Ad ’80
Saint Paul, Minn.

Deb O’Halloran co-founded Second Stork in 2009, shifting gears from a long career in finance to helping more than 3,000 families each year. Second Stork, an all-volunteer service organization, partners with hospitals in Minnesota and the upper Midwest to provide essentials to new parents in need, giving babies a safer and healthier start in life.
