Five sessions | Sept. 15 - Oct. 1, 2020
Join young Marquette alumni from across the country for three weeks of dynamic programming customized to those just entering the work force. Each of the five sessions (full details below) offered will include expert presentations, group dialogue and dedicated networking time for an interactive virtual learning experience designed to engage and set you up for growth.

 

 

What You Will Get
A special $15 registration fee gives you access to:

  • A cohort of up to 40 recent grads to share experiences and create meaningful connections
  • Direct interaction with over 20 industry experts and professionals
  • Unlimited access to all recorded online sessions, presentation materials and additional resources
  • Attendee directory with contact information and profile links to all cohort participants and presenters
  • Personalized content and session formatting, driven by survey feedback and attendee preferences

Who Should Attend – Limited Spots Available!
This very first Beyond MU cohort is designed for recent Marquette graduates (ideally 2017-2020 grads). In order to ensure a high-quality and personalized learning experience, this cohort will be no more than 40 participants. If you have questions about this program, please contact us.

Virtual Platform

All programming will take place in the innovative and intuitive virtual platform, Remo. Remo offers an interactive "room" where attendees can freely move about a floorplan of tables to network with independence and ease. Tables have access to a collaborative whiteboard experience for group activities, screen sharing capabilities and a chat function for group, private or table conversations. Individual profiles allow participants to upload a headshot and link directly to professional websites.

Join us in the Remo platform for a program overview, introduction to the interactive virtual space and optional time to set up your professional profile and get to know your fellow cohort participants.

Wayne Breitbarth, Grad ’86, globally recognized LinkedIn expert, consultant and bestselling author, will demonstrate how to use LinkedIn to create a stand-out profile, search for jobs and communicate with potential employers. Then he’ll be joined by two networking experts to share how you can expand your connections, especially online.

Bring your resume! The Career Services Center is here for you, Marquette alumni, providing all the resources you need to create an exceptional resume, find job postings, interview well and negotiate salary. Courtney Hanson, director, will provide an overview of the CSC and successful alumni in the HR field will give an insider look at what HR recruiters actually look for. Then you’ll have time to meet with these HR experts for one-on-one resume review and revision.

The program will culminate with an inspiring keynote presentation from Nick Dillon, Comm '90, nationally recognized speaker and No. 1 bestselling author. Nick will share his inspiring story and show how persistence and determination can take you wherever you want to go. His “BELIEVE System – 7 Proven Steps to Success in Your Personal & Professional Life,” will provide a concluding roadmap to your next career steps. Then join your fellow cohort participants for a final opportunity to connect and celebrate your time together.
