Marquette University Alumni Association: West Coast Virtual Lunch Bunch
Join Marquette alumni, parents and friends from California, Oregon, Washington, Arizona and Nevada for a virtual quarterly lunch bunch.

Our featured speaker will be Dr. Sarah Feldner, dean of the J. William and Mary Diederich College of Communication.*

*Dr. Feldner is also a professor of communication studies and most recently served as associate dean for graduate studies and research in the college.

Feldner also served as the director of the Marquette Core Curriculum until 2018. Previously, she worked on the Core of Common Studies Review Committee for six years and helped lead the Core Revision Facilitation Group.

Additionally, Feldner chaired the University Board of Undergraduate Studies, has worked closely with the Center for Teaching and Learning, and participated in several faculty programs with the Office of Mission and Ministry. Feldner has also taken a lead role as co-chair in Marquette’s Student Success Initiative, which seeks to better support students at the individual level, significantly increase four-year graduation rates and decrease student debt among students from all backgrounds. She has been recognized for her commitment to teaching, winning the Raynor Faculty Award for Teaching Excellence in 2012 and the Diederich College of Communication Dean’s Recognition Award for Teaching Excellence in 2004.
