Class of 2020 Celebration Weekend
Saturday, October 2 - Sunday, October 3, 2021

Class of 2020, the most remarkable thing about 2020 was you.

You and your guests are invited to the Marquette University Class of 2020 Celebration Weekend: an experience to commemorate your accomplishments and recognize your degree. Reconnect with classmates, hear from Marquette leadership and celebrate together.

Online registration for the Class of 2020 Celebration Weekend is now closed. Please direct any questions or special needs to Marquette University Alumni Association at alumni@marquette.edu or (800) 344-7544.

Important Event Reminders

GRADUATE AND GUEST CHECK-IN

  • Graduates and guests should check in at 3:15 p.m. under the Raynor Memorial Libraries Bridge near Central Mall. Graduates will receive a name card to hand to the announcer during the ceremony. Graduates will also receive a cap and commemorative tassel from the Marquette University Alumni Association, which are yours to keep.
  • Column marshals and volunteers will seat you and your two guests after you have checked in. Seating is reserved by college for the Class of 2020 graduate and their two guests (who have the option to walk on stage with their graduate).
  • Once the event begins, graduates (and their two guests if they so choose) will be called to line-up for a procession to the stage by the college they graduated from. Graduates will be individually recognized as their name will be announced when they cross the stage. After crossing the stage, they can return to their seats.

RECOMMENDED ATTIRE

  • Although academic attire is not required to attend the Recognition Walk, we do encourage graduates to wear the keepsake gown they received in 2020 or the gown they purchased/rented.
  • Graduates are strongly encouraged to wear comfortable footwear due to the need to walk on the grass. Block or wedge heels are recommended.
